Works with any JPG or PNG straight from your gallery or camera roll — no cropping app needed first.
The tool automatically resizes to the exact pixel dimensions and compresses to fit the required KB range.
Download the result and upload it directly — it will already match both the size and dimension requirements.

Application portals for SSC, IBPS, UPSC and Railways enforce hard file-size and dimension checks before allowing submission. A file even 1 KB over the maximum, or a few pixels off the required dimensions, gets rejected outright — with no warning beyond a generic error message. This is one of the most common reasons candidates lose time on submission day, often right before the deadline. Compressing with a generic photo editor usually gets the KB size right but ignores the exact pixel dimensions the form expects — this tool handles both together in one step.
Mistake 1 — Only fixing the file size, ignoring pixel dimensions
✗ Wrong: Compressing a photo to 45 KB without checking if it's 275×354 px.
✓ Right: Match both the exact pixel dimensions and the KB range — most portals check both.
Mistake 2 — Uploading a scanned signature that's too dark or too light
✗ Wrong: A faint pencil signature scanned at low contrast.
✓ Right: Sign clearly with black or blue ink on plain white paper before scanning or photographing.
Mistake 3 — Waiting until the last day to discover the wrong format
✗ Wrong: Trying to upload a PNG or HEIC file when the form only accepts JPG.
✓ Right: This tool always outputs a JPG file regardless of what you upload.
Mistake 4 — Cropping so tightly the face doesn't meet coverage rules
✗ Wrong: A photo where the face takes up only a small portion of the frame.
✓ Right: For UPSC especially, the face must cover at least 75% of the photo area — crop before resizing if needed.
Mistake 5 — Compressing so much the image becomes blurry
✗ Wrong: Forcing a photo under the minimum KB by over-compressing until it's a blurry mess.
✓ Right: If your resized photo is still above the maximum KB even at low quality, use a smaller starting image — don't sacrifice sharpness below the minimum specified size.
